In the massive shadow of unnecessary and expensive road works, the state government has spent millions on publicity claiming it is improving public transport and giving the public what it wants. What a hollow claim. On Monday, it gave the community just four hours’ notice of a meeting in Doncaster on proposed changes to the bus timetable. Furthermore, the government conveniently failed to publicise the event online.
