Herald Sun: Hugh Jackman happy to catch the train in Melbourne to a TV interview. 17 May 2014
Melbourne’s much maligned train system got a big tick of a approval by Hugh Jackman on Friday night, after he caught a peak hour train from Melbourne Central to South Yarra station.
To the amazement of passengers, Jackman boarded the train after 6pm, after his duties were finished at the premiere of his new film
He was in a hurry to make it to Channel 10 for a live recording of The Project, with the train was the quickest way to get from the city to South Yarra.
In total it took the Aussie superstar 18 minutes and he made the show on time.
During the journey Jackman was very generous with fans and fellow commuters, who couldn’t believe a Hollywood superstar was on their carriage.
Earlier Jackman told the Herald Sun that he was loving his time back in Melbourne.
Hugh Jackman and Peter Dinklage have walked the red carpet for the new X-Men film’s Australian premiere.
His mother-in-law Fay Duncan lives here.
“I tell you what, it’s great to be back home and not on the X-Men diet,’’ he said.
“This city, the food is so good.
“I’ve seen my mother-in-law, everything is really great.”
