This morning local residents, the Mayor, Councillors and members of Yarra Council’s Public Transport Advocacy Campaign (PTAC) Steering Committee gathered for a photo opportunity in front of the “Trains not Toll Roads” billboard on Alexandra Parade (in the median just east of George St).
We received a number of honks — hopefully in support of Doncaster Rail!
This is the first of a number of billboads and banners which will be placed on Alexander Parade in support of Doncaster Rail and opposing the proposed East West Tunnel and/or toll road.
The final report from the Doncaster Rail Study is now due out in August 2012.
